On January 2019 EDP, the global energy company, with the commitment to be the “people’s energy”, acquired the sponsorship of the Gran Vía Theatre (Madrid) for the next three years. To make it well known, the creative agency Katapult turned the theatre on the first in the world that is able to measure the emotion’s energy generate by the viewers (applauses, cheers…) and to transform it in electric power with the objective to share it with the people that need it.
This action is being possible because of an acoustic equipment that collects, during every theatre function, the energy generated and transforms it into kilowatt-hour. Then EDP donates it to solidary projects.
